Bathymetric Surveys

These maps show conditions inside and offshore of the Jupiter Inlet as well as portions of the Loxahatchee River and its tributaries. The surveys are posted below for general public knowledge.

This is a KMZ file, which can be downloaded and used within Google Earth.

*These bathymetric surveys indicate conditions at the time of the survey as noted. Depths are shown relative to MLLW (mean lower low water). Boaters must use caution when reviewing the survey and understand that conditions can and will change. The prudent mariner should rely on multiple sources of information to ensure safe passage.*

KMZ Files: A .KMZ file is a compressed version of a KML (Keyhole Markup Language) file used to display geographic data in mapping applications such as Google Earth.

Open a KMZ File in Google Earth Pro (Recommended)

Download and install Google Earth Pro (free) from Google.
Open Google Earth Pro.
Select File → Open.
Browse to and select the .kmz file.
The map, points, lines, polygons, and other geographic features will appear in the Places panel and on the map.
